This is a pretty short recap because I have to say that I was really disappointed in tonight's episode.  There were really few actual revelations...who didn't see Widmore being Faraday's father?  We already knew that Daniel tried to warn Charlotte, etc.  I was really thinking we were going to see more Dharmaville stuff hit the fan.  The whole scene with Desmond in the hospital and Ellie talking to Penny?  Was that really necessary?

My big question of the episode is probably going to be the big one of the season...do the actions of our Losties really change all of the events 'to come'?  I would hate to see the show end with 815 landing in LA like it was supposed to.

Faraday being shot by his mother...she seemed to know that that was going to happen, when she was talking to Charles in the hospital parking lot...I don't know, I can't even make what I am thinking make sense!  What was that all about?  I'd love to hear anyone's theories.

I was hoping we'd see a bit of the "shadow of the statue" people/Sun/Frank/Locke instead of repeats of things we've seen (Faraday crying about the plane wreckage, Faraday at the orchid, etc).  Well at least we got to see Richard Alpert again.  I really love that guy! lol

I don't think that they can make the series end with flight 815 landing in L.A. Even if Desmond does push the button so this mass of energy doesn't crash the plane, that still doesn't negate all the things that have happened on the island. There were still people there, blah blah blah. So I don't think that will happen. I do want Sun and Gin to get back together though! They need to figure out a way to get back to the present! And I didn't get why Daniel was crying, that seemed a little stupid. And why did they play the music when they revealed that Eloise was Daniel's mom? If you're any kind of fan, you already knew that!

Do you really think that in that scene with Widmore she seemed like she knew she was going to shoot Daniel? I thought she seemed uncertain of what was going to happen, and that her reference to sacrificing could just be referring to having seen him suffer over the years... I go into it more in my post, but I really think that her sending Jack, Kate, et al, was introducing new variables that triggered the chain of events that led to Daniel being shot, and that when she said she didn't know what happened next she meant she didn't know how sending them back would alter things...

And even Dan's "warning" to Charlotte didn't seem to be what it originally was -- there wasn't any of the "don't come back, you'll die!!" that she repeated to him during the flashes. My feeling is that even now what is happening in the 70s is shifting what happens in the future...

I was also dying to see more of the Shadowies, but I will admit to loving this episode. ;P I thought they built suspense well, and with a whole final season to come you don't really expect them to pack toooo many revelations into any one episode, do you?

Sarah Eliza, I DO expect them to have some revelations in each episode, just for that very reason! lol...This is the end, things should be unraveling a bit more each time or at least be strange and thrilling... ;) my opinion at least.

And I definitely DO think that in that scene with Widmore that Eloise knows she shoots Daniel. After he was lying there dying he says "you knew!!" I believe meaning that she always knew he was going to go back and have that happen. I know it doesn't make too much sense, but I'm pretty sure of it.
